Interior Drain Tile for Eagle homes
Eagle sits right against the Kettle Moraine State Forest Southern Unit, and the ground here shows it. Glacial hills roll through the village, and plenty of homes are built into a slope with a walkout basement on the low side. That design brings in daylight and a door to the backyard. It also puts the basement squarely in the path of every drop of runoff coming down the hill behind the house.
On a sloped lot, the uphill wall does most of the work. It's buried deepest, the clay against it stays saturated after rain and snowmelt, and water builds pressure along its footing until it seeps in at the floor joint or runs across toward the walkout door. Interior drain tile intercepts that water under the slab. We run the tile along the buried walls, where the pressure is, and bring it to a sump crock with a pump and battery backup.
The work happens entirely from inside, which matters on a steep lot where getting an excavator around the house would be difficult and hard on the yard.
