Interior Drain Tile for Hales Corners homes
Hales Corners is a small village between Greendale, Franklin, Greenfield and New Berlin, and from our shop in Waukesha it is one of the quickest drives we make. Most of the homes here are single-family houses, and a good share of them sit on older concrete block basements. Block walls are hollow inside. When the clay outside gets saturated, water collects in the cores and seeps out at the bottom course, right where the wall meets the floor. You see a wet stripe along the edge of the slab, sometimes a white chalky crust on the block.
Interior drain tile is built for that spot. We open the floor along the walls, set perforated pipe in washed gravel next to the footing, and can drill weep holes in the bottom block so water trapped in the cores drains straight into the tile. The pipe carries everything to a sump crock with a main pump and a battery backup. Once the slab is patched, the water that used to show up on your floor leaves through a discharge line.
Because we are close, scheduling tends to be easy, and same-week appointments are common. Nick or Luis will look at your walls for cracks or bowing first, since block that is moving needs bracing before waterproofing. You get a written quote that spells out the trench length, the pump and the backup.
