Foundation Repair for Lannon homes
Lannon made its name on limestone. The quarries around the village produced the Lannon stone you still see on house fronts, chimneys and garden retaining walls across the area, and plenty of local homes wear it proudly. Below grade, the story is often older laid stone or concrete block, sitting in the same glacial clay that swells every spring when the snow melts. That clay pays no attention to how handsome the stone above it looks. It pushes on the foundation season after season.
Stone and block foundations age in their own ways. In a laid stone wall, mortar washes out over the decades, joints open up, and individual stones can loosen and creep inward. Block walls crack along the mortar lines and then bow where frost and wet soil press hardest. We also take note of stone retaining walls near the house, because a leaning retaining wall can trap water and soil against the basement and add to the load on it.
In a small village like this, we're a short drive from the Waukesha shop and usually on site within the week. Nick or Luis will check each wall, show you any movement they measure, and tell you plainly what it needs. That might be filling open joints and cracks with hydraulic cement, carbon fiber straps on a block wall with an early bow, or steel I-beams for a wall that has gone further. When the Village of Lannon requires a permit, we pull it.
