Foundation and waterproofing work in Lac La Belle
Lac La Belle is a small village wrapped around one lake, right next to Oconomowoc, and nearly every house here lives with lakeside groundwater. The water table rises in spring, clay soil holds it against the foundation, and hydrostatic pressure finds the weak spots: the joint where wall meets floor, an old tie hole, a hairline crack that never got sealed. Many of these lake houses were small cottages once and have been added onto over the years, so one basement can have two or three different walls under it.
That patchwork is why we look at each wall on its own. An older block section might need carbon fiber straps or a steel I-beam, while a newer poured addition only needs a crack sealed. For steady seepage near the shore, interior drain tile to a sump with battery backup takes the water away from inside, and exterior waterproofing stops it at the source where the yard allows a dig. We also install egress windows and steel support beams, and we pull permits when the Village of Lac La Belle requires them.
