Foundation and waterproofing work in Big Bend
Big Bend is a small village in southern Waukesha County that grew up along the Fox River, and the river still sets the rhythm for a lot of basements here. When the snow melts and spring rain comes in on top of it, the water table climbs and the soil around foundations stays soaked for weeks. Homes closest to the river feel it first, but even the rural lots outside the village can have a wet season that pushes water through the floor joint or up through cracks in the slab.
Big Bend has a mix of older village houses and newer homes on bigger country lots, so no two basements look alike. For high spring water, interior drain tile around the perimeter feeding a well-sized sump pump with battery backup is usually the backbone of the fix. Wet walls may call for exterior waterproofing down to the footing, and a wall that's cracked or bowing gets sealed or braced first. We also install egress windows and steel support beams.
