Interior Drain Tile for Hartland homes
Hartland grew up along the Bark River, and the older homes near the historic downtown still sit close to it. Those houses have basements that were dug long before drain tile was standard, and many rely on a single floor drain. When the river runs high after snowmelt, the ground around them stays soaked, and water works in at the base of the walls. For both groups the fix looks much the same underground. We cut a strip of slab along the leaking walls, dig beside the footing, and lay perforated pipe in washed gravel so it slopes to a sump crock. Water that pushed through the wall-floor joint drops into that pipe, and a pump sends it out. A battery backup keeps the pump running if a storm knocks out power while you're at work. Older walls near downtown may need weep holes or a little crack sealing first, which we handle in the same visit.
